Services

Betayum provides a compliance automation platform that helps organizations manage evidence, policies, risks, vendors, employee tasks, security questionnaires, monitoring, and audit preparation.

Betayum supports compliance work related to SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.

You may use the Services for your organization’s internal business purposes during your subscription term.

Betayum may provide hosted, self-hosted, and open-source versions of the platform. Additional terms may apply depending on the version or service you choose.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Keeping your account credentials secure
Managing access for your authorized users
Providing accurate account information
Using the Services in accordance with applicable laws
Reviewing information and outputs produced through the platform

You may allow employees, contractors, and authorized representatives to use your account. You are responsible for their activity and compliance with these Terms.

You must not:

Use the Services for unlawful purposes
Attempt to access another customer’s information
Interfere with the security or operation of the Services
Introduce malware or harmful code
Resell hosted access without written permission
Use automated tools to scrape the hosted platform
Attempt to bypass security or access controls

We may suspend access when necessary to protect the Services, other customers, or Betayum.

Customer Data

You retain ownership of the information, documents, evidence, policies, and other content you submit to Betayum.

You give Betayum permission to process Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Services.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide Customer Data to Betayum.

Our handling of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Agreement.

Fees and Payment

Pricing, payment terms, subscription details, and included services will be stated in your Order Form, proposal, or other written agreement.

You agree to pay all applicable fees according to those terms.

Fees exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for taxes related to your purchase, except for taxes based on Betayum’s income.

Betayum may suspend paid Services if an account remains overdue after reasonable notice.

Subscription and Termination

Your subscription begins and continues for the period stated in your Order Form.

Renewal and cancellation terms will also be stated in the Order Form.

Either party may terminate the agreement if the other party materially breaches it and does not correct the breach within [30 days] after receiving written notice.

After termination:

Your access to paid hosted Services will end
Outstanding fees will remain due
Customer Data will be returned or deleted according to the applicable agreement and data-retention policy
Rights granted under an applicable open-source licence will continue according to that licence

Intellectual Property

Betayum and its licensors retain ownership of the hosted platform, documentation, website content, branding, trademarks, and proprietary technology.

You retain ownership of Customer Data.

Open-source components are governed by the licences published with those components. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted under an applicable open-source licence.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, Betayum may use them to improve the Services without obligation or payment.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Each party agrees to protect the other party’s confidential information and use it only for purposes related to the Services.

Confidential information may be disclosed to employees, contractors, advisers, and service providers who need access and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Betayum will process personal information according to its Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

Compliance and AI Disclaimer

Betayum helps organizations manage compliance work and prepare for assessments.

Betayum does not:

Act as an auditor, certification body, or law firm
Guarantee that you will pass an audit
Guarantee certification or regulatory compliance
Replace your responsibility to maintain appropriate security and privacy practices

Some Betayum features may use artificial intelligence to draft policies, organize evidence, map requirements, or provide suggestions.

AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and validating outputs before relying on them.

Warranties and Disclaimers

Betayum will provide paid hosted Services substantially as described in its documentation and applicable Order Form.

Except where expressly stated, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the extent permitted by law, Betayum does not guarantee that:

The Services will always be available or error-free
Every security or compliance issue will be identified
AI-generated information will always be accurate
You will achieve a specific audit or compliance outcome

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Each party’s total liability will not exceed the fees paid or payable by the Customer during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

General Terms

These Terms, together with your Order Form and referenced policies, form the complete agreement between you and Betayum regarding the Services.

Betayum may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect where required.

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State and Country]. Legal disputes will be handled by the courts located in [City, State and Country].
